Jeanice Lee talks to Carmen Frederic, Executive Director of Prescott Area Shelter Services. They provide temporary, emergency shelter to women with children in a 19-bed dormitory setting with additional 2 rooms to serve women with children over 12 years old. Guests receive case management, goal setting skills, financial skills, services, referrals, and community services while working to secure them permanent housing. Their emergency shelter provides 7 supportive services. They also offer other services such as transportation, dental support, a children’s program, and an education to employment program.
