Ron Turner talks with Gretchen Nollman, Food Sourcing Manager at River Bend Food Bank about food insecurity in the 14,000 square mile area they cover in Illinois and Iowa. She explains they have over 400 partners that help them distribute food to the area serving over 126,000 adults and over 35,000 children experiencing food insecurity. She says the main factor is costs are up everywhere, especially food where families are trying to make ends meet and decide between healthcare and food.
