Jack Church spoke with Leslie Lloyd, President and C.O.O. for A Simple Gesture based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Lloyd explained how A Simple Gesture is a relief organization made up primarily of volunteers with a limited permanent staff. The goal of the organization is collect food from individual donors, businesses and faith communities and then distribute the food to area food banks and food pantry partners. Lloyd said this helps insure that food banks never run short on supplies to feed the ever increasing food security issues facing Winston Salem-Greensboro and Guilford County.
