Ron Turner talks with Emily Bergeron, Community Liaison with The Center for Progress and Excellence. Bergeron discusses the state of mental health in the nation and how it compares to Fort Myers. Bergeron talks about the rise in mental health support and initiatives over the last few years while identifying specific areas that still have limited access to care. Bergeron talks about how some people suffer their mental health challenge six to eight months post crisis, making it difficult to identify immediately following a crisis or event.
