Lexy Smith speaks with Darrin Patterson, the Community Care Specialist for the City of Covington. Patterson details the unique program where he works in conjunction with the Sheriffs to answer calls dealing with those experiencing public issues. Patterson describes how he can aid with medical and mental health needs. Patterson explains giving the resources is a hand up and not a handout. Patterson shares alternative policing methods are calling for assistance with law enforcement in the area.
