Lexy Smith speaks with Stephen Hinkel, Public Relations Manager for the Denver Rescue Mission serving the Denver and Ft. Collins areas. The Denver Rescue Mission has been in the area since the late 1800’s. Hinkel shares how the shutdown has increased the number of homeless in the area. Hinkel talks about the free food that is served three times a day to whomever shows up. Hinkel details the other programs they have including the drug rehabilitation for single men, temporary housing for families and more.
