Jeanice Lee talks with Lia Andrews, Agency Administrator with The Heart Matters Foster Family Agency which serves Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The Heart Matters Foster Family Agency serves foster youth 0 -21 yrs old and resource families. Their agency is based on providing a safe and loving home for children in the foster care system. Andrews describes the different ways they support the youth and resource families through their agency with services that supports the children physically, emotionally, educationally, and with mental/health care support. A program Andrews is proud of is their Transitional Independent Living program which assists youth ages 16-20 achieve self-sufficiency prior to exiting the foster care system.
