Lexy Smith sits down with Chris Nelson, the Director of Animal Services for the La Plata County Humane Society. The La Plata County Humane Society has been in helping animals find homes for over fifty years. Nelson details how the animal population has exploded now that many have returned to work in office. Nelson explains how to get your new pet acclimated to their new space along with some do’s and don’ts when dealing with the transition from the shelter to your home.
