Sarah Shaver spoke with the Program Director of The Leadership Academy of Madison County, Stephanie Fertucci. They talked about the idea of “servant leadership” that is the basis of the academy, it’s history, her experience going through the Academy, and how the Academy teaches effective leadership. Former participants teach the classes, and both the adult and teen academies take 10 months. It’s hoped the participants will take the skills and relationships gained back to their work environment and community and make the positive changes that need to be made.
