Jim Davis talks with Cindy Harper, Executive Director of the Muhlenberg County Opportunity Center. The center serves adults with intellectual disabilities and provides a path for them to lead productive lives. Harper shares the history of the center as well as the programs they offer to help clients gain skills and a paycheck. She also shares about the importance of trained mentors and volunteers being involved in the work center. Finally, Harper speaks to us about the center’s thrift store and the organization’s plans to expand their ability to serve more adults in the near future.
