Jeanice Lee talks with Rita Welch the Museum Director of the Tillamook Air Museum. Rita takes us back through the museums history including the hangars history, why it was built, and why it was built in Tillamook. The hangar is one of seven that remains in the U.S. The Tillamook Air museum is owned and operated by the Tillamook Bay. The museum is located at 6030 Hangar Road in Tillamook. Their hours change for summer and winter so please call 503.842.1130 or go to TillamookAir.com for hour info. Education through interaction is their goal for people to take away while at the museum by experiencing their exhibits, the aircrafts on the grounds and their vehicles. There is a admission fee in order to enter the museum. Memberships and tours are available.
