The Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center started more than 50 years ago in response to the lack of adequate and culturally appropriate medical care for immigrants and migrants in Washington and Yamhill counties. Over the years the organization has grown to serve more than 50,000 people in 18 locations, providing medical, dental, vision and pharmacy options. Their clients speak multiple languages and many stay on and serve the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center as staff.
