LOCAL Closer Look: Women4Women - Brooklyn

Peter Kaye speaks with Juliette Fisbein and Fathema Zohura of Women4Women, a nonprofit organization supporting women facing social and economic challenges following domestic violence. Fisbein states that one in four women experiences some form of domestic violence and discusses its’ physical, emotional, psychological, and economic effects. Zohura, a domestic violence thriver, shares her heroic story of leaving an abusive seven-year relationship. She walks us through her journey from nearly a year in a domestic violence shelter to connecting with Women4Women and receiving a host of resources and supports including funding her schooling and helping her become financially independent as a medical assistant in a local hospital.
