11 Bible Verses for Confusing Life Seasons

Christian Living

Life decisions can be a reason we’re not able to sleep at night. But God is with us, leading us to make wise choices. We don’t have to worry about what the future holds, because we can trust that God’s perfect plan will be accomplished in and through our lives when we listen to His voice and follow where He leads.

1. Trusting in the Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.” – Proverbs 3:5-9 NLT

2. God’s Purpose Prevails

“Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life. You can make plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.” – Proverbs 19:20-21 NLT

3. God’s Plans Are Unshakable

But the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. – Psalm 33:11 NLT

4. God Brings Peace

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. – 1 Corinthians 14:33 NLT

5. The Spirit of Truth

“When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.” – John 16:13 NLT

6. The Helper

“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative––that is, the Holy Spirit––He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” – John 14:26 NLT

7. Discernment and Understanding

“I am Your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees. Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand Your law.” – Psalm 119:124-125 NLT

8. The God of Understanding

Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.” – 2 Timothy 2:7 NLT

9. The Light of Hope

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile jars of clay containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. – 2 Corinthians 4:7-9  NLT

10. In the Name of the Lord

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. – Colossians 3:16-17 NLT

11. Give Your Worries to God

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. – 1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT
