1. God Created You for Relationship
From the beginning, God made us to know Him and walk in close relationship with Him. You are not an accident—you were made with purpose, in God’s image, and are deeply loved by Him (Genesis 1:27).
2. Sin Broke That Connection
But each of us has turned away from God in some way—choosing our own path over His. The Bible calls this “sin,” and it separates us from the One who gives life (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:2). No amount of good deeds can erase our sin or restore that relationship on our own.
3. Jesus Is the Way Back
The gospel–or “good news”–tells us that God’s love didn’t stop at our failure. He sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life so that He could be a perfect sacrifice. Jesus became our sin on the cross and when He died, our sins died with Him. But Jesus didn’t stay dead; He rose again, making a way for us to be made right with God forever (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21).
4. How Do You Respond?
Salvation is a gift—it can’t be earned, only received. God gives us a choice to accept or reject this gift.
If you want to receive new life, you respond by:
- Admitting your need for God
- Believing Jesus died and rose again for you
- Choosing to trust and follow Him with your life (Romans 10:9–10, John 1:12)
5. A Simple Prayer to Begin
Salvation happens the moment we choose to accept God’s gift of grace. But just like any loving relationship, God wants you to talk to Him. If you’re ready, you can begin to talk to God like this:
“Jesus, I know I’ve sinned and I need You. I believe You died and rose again for me. Thank you for forgiving me and making me new. I give You my life, now and forever. Amen.”
If you’ve chosen to accept God’s gift of salvation, welcome into a new life with Christ!
6. What Now?
This is the beginning of a lifelong journey. You’re not meant to walk it alone, and we’re here to help. Start by learning how to read and study the Bible as you grow in your understanding of God.
