Eight-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner Lauren Daigle gave fans a taste of fresh music when her emotional ballad, “Hold On To Me,” released this spring. The song marks Daigle’s first new recording since 2018’s career-defining album, Look Up Child, which sent the multi-Platinum artist on a wild ride thanks to the unprecedented success of crossover hit, “You Say,” now one of the biggest songs in Christian music history.

For those fortunate enough to catch Daigle on tour before the live entrainment industry shut down due to the global pandemic, they were likely treated to a live version of “Hold On To Me.” Daigle has been performing it in concert since she penned the track two years ago. But it wasn’t until recently that she gave the song the proper studio treatment.

“This song has taken on a whole new meaning since first writing it in 2019,” Daigle shares. “I remember in the moment really loving what the crowd brought to the song, but the depth and true meaning of ‘Hold On To Me’ didn’t hit me until much later. Now, after experiencing a year like the last, I think I needed this song more than ever.”

The track’s poignant music video finds the songstress walking into different rooms where various real-life storylines play out: an everyday couple starting a family, an incarcerated man serving time, three generations of women facing a health crisis, and a child enduring the tension of her parents’ unpredictable relationship. Each “room” in the video is connected to a different charity for which Daigle hopes to raise funds and awareness through her philanthropic organization, The Price Fund.

“My hope and my heart is that ‘Hold On To Me’ reminds you of all the good in the world,” she says about her new single. “No matter what you’re walking through, having someone there to hold you up and see you for who you are, even through the worst of circumstances—that’s what this song is about.”

Ticket packages for the 2022 K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend are now on sale. Next year’s event will take place May 27-29, 2022 in Nashville.
