Kindra Ponzio talks with Sarah Reidenbach, CEO and Veterinarian of Ruthless Kindness. Reidenbach talks about the services they provide for women and families that are victims in domestic violence situations. They offer shelter and fosters for animals that are involved, to be able to keep them safe while the transitions are made for alternative housing. Reidenbach tells us that sometimes the animals are used as leverage to keep the victims of domestic violence in the home, so their services offer the victims support to be able to make the necessary changes to be safe, then reunited with their pets when they are stable.
