Kindra Ponzio talks with Major Tammy Ray, Salvation Army Redding Corps. Ray tell us that she is a sixth generation Salvation Army Officer with rich roots going back to the 1800s. She says her Great Great Aunt was at the San Francisco 1906 earthquake. Ray talks about the huge need for services for food, clothing and shelter in the Redding area. They partner with other organizations to provide meals but offer a bag lunch to anyone that stops by who is hungry. She talks about the 2 thrift stores in the area where the proceeds go to help with the Addiction Recovery Program. Ray says this is free and has a high success rate of recovery.
