Kindra Ponzio talks with Stephanie Berger, President and Co-Founder with Silver Wishes. Berger talks about a program that grants wishes for seniors similar to Make-A-Wish Foundation, but concentrating on Senior Citizens in need. They have found that a lot of our seniors are left out and are suffering with needs that cannot be met by either other organizations or family members. Berger says their goal is to make the seniors feel seen, loved, and valued. Some of the wishes they have granted are new air conditioning units or repairs, new lift chairs, even strobe light fire detectors. They also do yard rehabs and and minor home repairs. Berger says that the seniors are so grateful for the little things Silver Wishes has done to help make life a little easier and to feel remembered.
