Kindra Ponzio talks with Peter Hoover, Executive Director of Sisters Habitat for Humanity. Hoover talks about the need for low income housing for families that work hard but could never save enough for a down payment or afford the mortgage. Habitat makes that possible. He talks about the importance of permanent housing and how kids thrive and typically go on to higher education and have improved health. They also have a restore and a thrift store in Sisters to help fund the builds.
