Each year unique Fields of Faith events are held at schools nationwide, often on football fields. The faith-sharing outreach is coordinated by student volunteers who are eager to share the life-changing message of Christ.
We want to share one example of a Fields of Faith held this past October in Muncie, Indiana - and, perhaps more importantly, the follow-up and results that have taken place.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes East Central Indiana Director Jeff Mosier shares with us,
WOW !!!! WHAT A POWERFUL NIGHT IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!
"I have personally heard so many stories of life change while in conversation with some of the 106 students who completed commitment cards at FOF. At least 15 told me personally that it was THAT night that they surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord for the very first time!
Some of them shared how they had gone to church all their lives but where never ready to commit their hearts until THAT night! Some referenced specific youth speakers as the one The Father used to bring them to their decision. Others referenced Pastor Andre’s message. I really point to all the prayer, fasting, intercession, and preparation for weeks prior to the event that paved the way for The presence of The Lord. I am so very thankful for all of the volunteers that helped and those who provided the financial resources that made the evening even possible!
This year, more than any of the 14 previous years, the students that made commitments to Christ shared that they HAD NOT previously been a person that went to church. They HAD NOT been attending FCA. They were invited to FILEDS OF FAITH by a friend or teammate in FCA or their youth group! The LORD moved on their hearts to attend despite their reservations. The HOLY SPIRIT touched their lives and they received Christ’s forgiveness and new life!!! Many, many more recommitted their lives to Jesus."
