"I didn't do this. God did this."
Welcome to God Stories (audio version)
We're sharing an extraordinarily-kind gesture by Jordan Hope, 18, who lives in Maricopa, Arizona.
An elderly man was crossing the street and Jordan, a committed Christian, noticed Mr. Roy's slippers were falling off his feet.
"Yeah, so I was on my way to the bank to deposit some money and on the way I saw an elderly man barely walking on his walker and he had slippers on and they were falling off his feet and just torn apart. So, God told me to stop and just be obedient, go turn around and stop and park my car. And I got out and I gave him my shoes off my feet.
So, I was like, 'Hey, I see the shoes off your feet aren't holding on your feet the best. Do you need new shoes? 'He was like, 'What?' I was like, 'I just want to bless you with some new shoes. Is that going to help?' He's like, 'Yeah, that really would help. So, I ended up giving him my shoes.
I put them on it for him and he was just shocked and amazed that someone was sent to go do that for him. And he was very grateful for that."
(Richard) So, you got sort of a nudge from God to go do that?
"Yeah, absolutely. I was just being obedient to what he told me to do. I would say it's not always in my comfort zone to do that. And he (God) just tugged me and just made me uncomfortable so I can make someone else comfortable."
(Richard) How bad were his shoes when you got close up?
"They were pretty bad. They were slippers and they were maybe a fourth away on his foot, so half of his foot was on the ground. So, God told me to just give him my shoes and they fit perfectly."
And what followed was a fish dinner at Culver's!
Hear our full encouraging interview with Jordan, who is an entrepreneur, with hopes of becoming a youth pastor:
Jordan is a caring young man, sticking close to Jesus, and open to whatever God wants for his life.

"I just want people to know the good news of God and the message behind it. I didn't do this. God did this. I don't take any credit at all for this. I just want people to start being obedient to the nudges they get because it's from God."
