CANstruction OKC is back in 2026 with an exciting new location at Quail Springs Mall. This year’s event will take place September 11–16, 2026, with all donations benefiting The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma.
CANstruction is a unique design-and-build competition where teams create large-scale structures entirely out of canned food within a 10’ x 10’ x 10’ space. This year’s theme, “Cruisin’ to Curb Hunger,” celebrates the Centennial of Route 66 while raising awareness and support for neighbors facing food insecurity.
“CANstruction OKC is a great opportunity for Central Oklahoma firms—architects, engineers, contractors, and designers—to showcase their creativity while making a meaningful impact,” said Major Paul Ryerson, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma. “Every can used in these builds will help feed local families in need, making this a true win-win.”
Team registration is now open, and interested groups are encouraged to sign up at CANstructionOKC.com and submit their entry fees online.
Quail Springs Mall will serve as the official host, with the exhibition located in the space traditionally used for Santa’s Court during the holiday season—bringing high visibility and community engagement to this year’s event.
The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma provides year-round assistance to individuals and families in need across the region. Events like CANstruction play a vital role in helping meet the growing demand for food assistance in our community.
