MercyMe Performs Christmas “Lullaby” In-Studio

MercyMe recently stopped by the K-LOVE studios for an exclusive performance of their original holiday hit, “Our Lullaby.” The tender, acoustic-driven song showcases the multi-Platinum band’s tight harmonies and lead singer Bart Millard’s impressive falsetto.

The five-piece wrote the track with Brown Bannister and Ben Shive for their sophomore seasonal album, MercyMe, It’s Christmas, which bowed back in 2015 as a follow-up to 2005’s critically-acclaimed The Christmas Sessions. The creative, country-tinged ballad finds the group singing a sweet song of love over the Christ child, Mary and Joseph as they contrast the humble beauty of the Nativity with the truth and wonder of what’s to come.

Although MercyMe is not embarking on a holiday tour for 2021, just last week Millard was a narrator for EPCOT’s annual Candlelight Processional. The appearance marked the second time the frontman has been invited to read the Christmas story at the high-profile event that has become a beloved tradition by guests at Walt Disney World.

On the heels of releasing a 40-day devotional book inspired by their latest collection of music, inhale (exhale), the three-time K-LOVE Fan Award-winning band is gearing up for a 2022 spring tour with special guest Andrew Ripp. The 36-city outing will have MercyMe on the road from February through May, delivering recent hits like “Say I Won’t” and “On My Way (feat. Sam Wesley).”
