Kindra Ponzio talks with Emily Acevedo, Exec Director, Butte Humane Society. Acevedo tells the importance of proper pet care, vaccines, dental care, spay and neuter. She also tells us of the health benefits of spay and neuter. Acevedo shares their uniqueness of their shelter as they only take surrendered pets. She says many things can happen from moving, health issues for the owner or the pet. Acevedo says that after covid, many people are surrendering their pets, putting a strain on all shelters.
