Sarah Shaver speaks with Rita Masi, Director of Customer Service for Fayette County (PA) Community Action Agency, serving over 30,000 residents annually with programs and services that meet many needs in the community and help people break the cycle of generational poverty. Masi outlines their programs and services, including those for seniors and families. She says FCCAA’s rental, utility, and emergency assistance is a starting point with case management and then employment, budgeting, and community development strategies are making real inroads to keep people out of these emergency situations and on a path of sustainability.
