Sarah Shaver speaks with Katie Hollins, Director of Silver Fur K-9 Rescue, caring for abandoned and stray senior dogs in Ohio. Hollins says senior dogs don’t do well in shelters so Silver Fur steps in to help that dog have a safe, peaceful home in its last years. She notes the joys a senior dog can bring to a home as well as reasons that dog might have been surrendered to them.
