This is not the same ‘NOAH’ from 1995. “Our technology has advanced, our storytelling has deepened, and our musicality has evolved.”
With the 30th Anniversary Season of ‘NOAH’ nearly sold out in Lancaster, PA, Sight & Sound is partnering with Fathom Entertainment to bring its flagship production to movie theatres nationwide for a special one-week theatrical engagement, with “Sight & Sound Presents: NOAH—Live!”
“NOAH— Live!”, coming to theatres beginning September 18.
Recorded in front of a live audience on Sight & Sound’s Lancaster, PA stage, “NOAH—Live!” is a new ‘NOAH’ production and takes audiences on board one of the world’s best-known voyages. With a catastrophic storm on its way, Noah is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. But as Noah endeavors to live faithfully in the midst of an increasingly chaotic world, can he trust that God’s promises run deeper than the rising waters around him?
“30 years ago, when ‘NOAH’ first premiered on the stage, our ministry was forever changed,” shared Matt Neff, Sight & Sound Chief Executive Officer. “This production broke all the rules of traditional theater and helped us discover our calling to bring the Bible to life on stage. We are grateful for the way it continues to inspire audiences today and thrilled to bring ‘NOAH—Live!’ to moviegoers across the United States with our friends at Fathom.”
“Fathom has enjoyed a longstanding and successful partnership with Sight & Sound and is very pleased to bring its flagship title with a new production back to movie theatres nationwide in this, its 30th anniversary celebration,” said Ray Nutt, Fathom Entertainment’s Chief Executive Officer. “Millions of fans have enjoyed the timeless ‘NOAH’ over the years, and this special Fathom theatrical engagement will bring the story to countless new fans, young and old alike.”

Throughout the last three decades nearly 5 million people have embarked on this extraordinary journey. And while the story’s strong message of salvation remains unchanged, this is not the same ‘NOAH’ from 1995. “Our technology has advanced, our storytelling has deepened, and our musicality has evolved,” explained Ryan Miller, Executive Producer. “When we decided to return ‘NOAH’ to the stage, we focused on building upon the show’s legacy while making decisions that enhanced the audience’s experience and presented the Gospel in a way that is just as applicable to our lives today.” With more than a dozen cameras covering the theater from every angle, including on stage and behind the curtain, moviegoers will have a front row seat to every extraordinary moment of ‘NOAH.’ In addition to the performance of this new production, “NOAH—Live!” will include exclusive bonus content featuring an opportunity to meet Sight & Sound’s famous animal actors.
“We’ve had the honor of partnering with Fathom Entertainment on previous theatrical releases, but there’s something extra special about taking the production that started it all into movie theaters nationwide!” said Katie Miller, Director of Brand Development. “We look forward to this opportunity for audiences to come together and be reminded of how God’s faithful promises continue in our lives today.” There have been five previous collaborations between Fathom Entertainment and Sight & Sound, including “I Heard the Bells,” which landed at number two for its opening weekend box office results in 2022, and the successful LIVE broadcast of ‘DANIEL’ over Labor Day Weekend in 2024.
Tickets for “NOAH—Live!” will go on sale Friday, August 22 at Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices (theatre locations are subject to change).
