Because of their involvement with police chaplains, Calvary Chapel Miami Beach was given the okay to hold a pop-up prayer tent near the collapsed condo building in Surfside Beach, Florida. Christianity Today reports one police chief specifically asked church volunteers to lift up his team in prayer.
On Saturday, the church posted this on Facebook to urge prayer and coming alongside those hurting:
