More than 150 churches, nonprofits, and businesses throughout the Reno-Tahoe region have come together to throw a party for the community. They're calling it Reno-Tahoe CityFest with Andrew Palau. Thousands are expected to gather for this festival with a special emphasis on unity, hope, and good news. The free, family-fun festival will be held August 23 and 24 at San Rafael Park in Reno, Nevada.

Accomplished in partnership with Palau—a well-known ministry based in Portland, Oregon—the free family-friendly festival will showcase award-winning artists Lecrae, CAIN, Colton Dixon, Jon Reddick, Rhett Walker, Marisol Park, and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, former NFL player and co-host of American Ninja Warrior. It will also feature a free Family Fun Zone, including inflatables, carnival games, face painting, and a live stage show for kids and families. Additionally, there will be action sports demonstrations from BMX and freestyle motocross athletes, along with a car show featuring a rarely-seen collection of high-end motor sport race cars. This will all lead up to live music as well as a culminating moment each night when international speaker Andrew Palau will share a clear message of hope and faith.

CityFest is working to share this hope with the community at large through a food drive. There will be collection bins at the entrance of the festival—easy to drop donations off upon arrival!

Suggested items for donation: Canned tuna or chicken, soup, stew, chili, peanut butter, low-sodium canned vegetables, canned fruit (in juice, not syrup), cereal, rice or pasta, and baby food/formula.

The festival committee believes that, as a community, even small gifts can make a big difference. Together, the community can bless local families in need.

During the week leading up to the festival, multiple outreach events will take place for men, women, prisoners, and more. The campaign also includes a regionwide service effort known as CityServe, focusing on the most urgent and pressing social needs in the area. During the weeks leading up to the festival, churches are seeking to serve their community in a unified effort.
