In just a few days, the city of Berlin will host the largest Christian evangelism gathering in Europe in 25 years. From May 27–30, 2025, more than 1,000 pastors and ministry leaders from 56 countries will gather for the European Congress on Evangelism, hosted by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA).

This momentous event returns to the same city where Billy Graham held the first World Congress on Evangelism in 1966, a pivotal gathering that helped shape global outreach for generations.
“The city of Berlin has influenced the world in every field,” Billy Graham said in his original address. “What a place from which to shout to the world—Christ is the Savior!”
Uniting Europe Under One Gospel Message
The theme of the congress is drawn from Romans 1:16:
“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
Attendees from across Europe—including Ukraine, the UK, Sweden, and Spain—will come together to be encouraged, equipped, and ignited with fresh passion to share the hope of Jesus Christ in their communities.
More than 20 speakers from 13 nations will lead sessions translated into 10 different languages, uniting believers from dozens of denominations under one message: the bold, biblical proclamation of the Gospel.
Worship Led by Global and Local Artists
The event will feature worship by three-time GRAMMY winner Michael W. Smith, award-winning worship leader Charity Gayle, and beloved Christian artists from across Europe.

A Legacy of Evangelism Continues
Franklin Graham, president and CEO of BGEA and convener of the congress, has preached in 19 European countries since 1999. He says the need for Gospel truth has never been greater:
“Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word is the greatest need in the world today,” Graham said. “It’s an honor for BGEA to come alongside believers in Europe who are boldly sharing the Gospel.”
Lives Changed, Vision Renewed
For Marc Van de Wouwer, a retired member of Belgium’s Federal Judicial Police, the congress is a full-circle moment. After attending the last major evangelism congress in 2000, he launched a local evangelistic ministry in Belgium.
“These congresses are essential,” he said. “The world without Christ needs dedicated evangelists. We need to pass the passion for Jesus to the next generation.”
