Subtle Word Search Change At CDC Gets Noticed

It may seem low-key, but a recent change on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website is significant.

When the search word “abortion” is entered, there’s an automatic suggestion for an alternate word search: “adoption.”

This clearly pro-life change appears to have happened when much of the CDC’s site was taken down and then reconfigured apparently on orders from the White House and those appointed to head the nation’s sometimes controversial health agency.

Critics have already taken notice. The Hill reports: Reproductive health workers who spoke with The Hill said the change was a “clear attempt” to change how conversations around pregnancy are approached.

“It’s a very strange thing to do because the decision tree around pregnancy is to either continue the pregnancy or not. If the pregnancy is continued, then the decision becomes parenting or not,” said Meghan Eagen-Torkko, director of the school of nursing at Eastern Michigan University who has provided reproductive health care for years.

But, pro-life advocates are taking notice as well, like evangelist, worship artist, and author Sean Feucht, who said on X, "I saw this today and tears came down my face. I know it may seem simple but this is the moment we’ve prayed for.”

The dedicated pro-life ministry Life News reacted by saying on X, “EXCELLENT! The CDC web site now suggests adoption when people search for abortion.”

Josue Sierra, also a pro-life advocate, posted an emotional reaction, “There is a digital marketing or website guy in DC that I'd like to give a huge hug and a high-five!! He might save more babies than we can count! Thank you @POTUS
