Shepherd’s Men, a team of active duty, medically retired and honorably discharged servicemen and civilian patriots dedicated to creating advocacy, opportunity and raising funds for veterans, active-duty military and first responders today announced that they will join with Nashville Yards and The Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project for a 9/11 Memorial Climb to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
The climb, which is two flights of stairs, 35 floors each and a total of 70 flights as the building has two stairwells. The location is Pinnacle Tower, Nashville Yards, 21 Platform Way South, Nashville, TN 37203. The 9/11 Memorial Climb is on September 10, beginning at 11:35 p.m. and concluding on Friday, September 11 at 8:46 a.m. (nine hours and 11 minutes total). All participants and registrants must check in at the Ascension Saint Thomas Landing (behind Pinnacle Tower), 131 10th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203.
“Twenty-five years later we still remember, uplift and honor our veterans and first responders for their service, courage and sacrifice,” said Travis Ellis, co-founder of Shepherd’s Men. “Our nation’s warfighters have borne the scars from that somber and fateful day. We must never forget these events, and the two decades of combat that subsequently followed. This 9/11 Memorial Climb is an opportunity to honor fallen heroes and remember their stories, while helping today’s heroes continue their journey.”
The 9/11 Memorial Climb is an immersive experience honoring nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including first responders who courageously ascended the World Trade Center North and South towers and military members whose service and sacrifice were forever shaped by that day. As they climb, participants will experience memorial displays, historic photographs, and personal stories honoring the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of our nation’s heroes. Climb participants must register to participate. The cost is $91.10 and includes an opportunity to ascend the Pinnacle Tower’s two stairwells (a total of 70 flights of stairs), an event t-shirt and a Commemorative, Limited Edition Event Challenge Coin. After the 9/11 Memorial Climb, all participants and attendees will gather at the Ascension Saint Thomas Landing for a brief Remembrance Program to honor the fallen, salute first responders and veterans, feature a SHARE graduate, along with tributes to acknowledge all our heroes impacted by September 11, 2001, and the years that followed.

Our goal is to heal our heroes. They deserve to live edifying lives with their families after their dedicated service to our country.”
All proceeds from the 9/11 Memorial Climb will support veterans, active-duty service members and first responders through the SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center.
