(Parker, Colorado) K-LOVE's Monika Kelly recently had the privilege of sitting down with two men who are living testimonies of how God can redeem lives, multiply blessings, and move mountains.
Rather hear the story?
Joining her was Will McGinnis, formerly of the legendary Christian band Audio Adrenaline and now leading the Hands and Feet Project, a ministry serving vulnerable children in Haiti. Alongside him was Ken Evans, a businessman from Parker, Colorado, who runs a gravel and earthmoving company—and who also happens to have one of the biggest servant hearts in the area.
Together, they’re part of something extraordinary: using a once-forgotten barn to pack hundreds of thousands of meals for starving children in Haiti.
Ken’s story is powerful. He shared how K-LOVE played a role in saving his life during a dark time when he even considered ending it. God intervened, pulled him out of despair, and set his feet on a new path:
“I’m thankful that today He didn’t give up on me—that He came looking for me. I can now see what His call and His intention is in my life.”
Over the years, God has blessed Ken’s business, and with those blessings, Ken has given back—opening his land and even his barn (which was once destined for demolition!) to host events for Kingdom purposes.
This September, that very barn will be transformed into a USDA food packing facility, where volunteers will gather to assemble 272,000 meals for Haiti.
Will also shared the journey of Audio Adrenaline and how the band’s platform became the launching ground for something bigger:
In 2004, inspired by the song Hands and Feet and the missionary work of Mark Stuart’s parents in Haiti, the band launched the Hands and Feet Project. For 21 years, the ministry has provided care for orphans and vulnerable children while empowering families and communities.
Today, the need in Haiti is greater than ever. Food insecurity has reached crisis levels. But through partnerships like Feed My Starving Children, Hands and Feet is distributing over 136,000 meals every month. And now, thanks to Ken’s vision, thousands more will be added.
The upcoming event will be held September 24–27 at Ken’s farm in Parker, Colorado (lovingly dubbed Hallelujah Farms).
- Food Packing Sessions: Volunteers of all ages will join two-hour sessions, filling boxes with meals that will go directly to families in Haiti. It’s loud, joyful, competitive, and Spirit-filled!
- Night of Worship: On Saturday, after the final packing session, there will be a concert with Matt Hammitt, formerly of Sanctus Real, leading worship and reminding us of the why behind the work.
- Community Impact: Beyond the meals, this event is about sowing seeds of faith, service, and generosity that will echo for years to come.
And yes—Ken promises homemade gluten-free peach cobbler with ice cream. (That alone might draw a crowd!)
Ken summed it up beautifully:
“I’m a ditch digger. We move dirt everywhere. But I truly, truly have the faith to move mountains because I’ve seen it. I’ve seen God’s goodness. I’ve seen Him multiply what little we give."
If you’re in the Parker, Colorado, area—or if you want to travel in for this powerful weekend—you can sign up to volunteer at one of the food packing sessions. Each two-hour shift is an opportunity to literally save lives.
As Will reminded Monika, the real heroes aren’t the organizers—it’s the volunteers who show up and pack the meals. Each box is an act of love, each bag a seed sown into eternity.
Fifteen years ago, Ken never could have imagined that the barn he almost tore down would one day be filled with worship, joy, and Kingdom impact. But that’s what God does—He redeems, multiplies, and transforms.
Whether you pick up a scoop at a food packing station, sponsor a child in Haiti, or simply pray for the work being done, you are part of this story.
God is still in the business of moving mountains—and sometimes, He does it with a barn, a band, and a group of willing hands and feet.
