Kindra Ponzio talks with Carson Spear, Executive Director of Warhawk Air Museum. Spear talks about the museum's history and how it got started. He shares many stories of how some of the famous aircrafts were rescued, some being buried, excavated, restores, and now on display. They are now flight worthy and perform in air shows. Spear talks about the many displays, including one with the Buffalo Soldiers. He says the mission is to Educate, Honor and Preserve. They have lots of school groups that come to visit regularly. The rows and rows of display cases honor the vets that have served in all wars, full of rare artifacts and stories of heroism. Spear says they have a Veterans History Project, that records vets stories and are sent to the Library of Congress, along with copies available to family members, which become treasures of a time long forgotten.
