Are you in a financial crisis or know someone who is? Here are a few Scriptural prayers that can help you focus on the One who has promised to be your Provider. If you’re feeling anxious about money today, you can turn to God’s Word for peace and assurance that God will be with you. We invite you to read and pray through these words.
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. - 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NLT)
God, I need employment and a steady income. Help me find a job where I can use the talents and personality You have given me. Thank you, in advance, for providing for me all I need. Amen
Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him! Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear Him will have all they need. - Psalm 34:8,9 (NLT)
Heavenly Father, I feel like my money worries are consuming my thoughts. I’m anxious all the time. I know you love me, but I feel alone. Help me remember that you will take care of me, even when money is tight.
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? - Matthew 6:25,26 (NLT)
Lord, give your peace right now. Help me rise above this worry over my finances. I know you love me. You are the God who provides. I choose to put my hope in You and not my financial circumstances. Thank you for taking care of me. Amen.
Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done...And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches. - Philippians 4:6,19 (NLT)
You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need. Amen.
Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant, he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath. - Deuteronomy 8:18 (NLT)
Lord, I admit I have made financial mistakes and have found myself overwhelmed with debt. I have lost my focus and been unwise financially. Please forgive me. I ask You for financial wisdom and freedom to get out of this debt. I do not see a way out, but I trust you will make way for me. Please bless my family and me. Amen.
As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in his thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay. - Psalm 40:17 (NLT)
Jesus, my deliverer, my financial situation is overwhelming. I feel anxious and afraid of what might happen if I don’t experience a miracle. Hear my cry for help and answer me in Your grace and compassion. Help me see the way to prevail over these problems. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit in the steps I need to take for financial freedom. Amen.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. - Proverbs 11:25 (NLT)
God of Heaven, I pray that You would guide me to make wise financial decisions. Bless me so that I can be a blessing to those around me. I pray that I do not idolize money but am found faithful with what you have given me. Amen.
But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. - Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT)
Heavenly Father, you bless those who trust in You and make You their hope and confidence. I put my trust in You regarding my finances because, in You, I am confident. I will be like a tree planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. I will not be bothered by pressure or long months of financial drought. I will not worry because I will never stop producing fruit, and when rooted in You, I will never lack. Amen.
