With an inspiring story, an endearing personality and an instant smash in “My Jesus,” Anne Wilson has quickly become one of Christian music’s brightest rising stars. The youngest of three, Wilson grew up in rural Kentucky, spending much of her childhood at her grandparents’ beloved family farm. From the beginning, her distinctly Southern upbringing has made its way into her music. From her deep vocal and rich instrumentation, all the way down to her boot-clad stage presence and her cowgirl-inspired aesthetic, it’s no secret the “Sunday Sermons” singer leans country. But it’s also obvious Wilson is a Christ follower. Her songs speak of her strong convictions and unwavering beliefs.

Hinting at her future moves, Wilson seamlessly collaborated with country baritone Josh Turner on her acclaimed Christmas single, “The Manger,” back in 2022. Now, leading into her highly anticipated sophomore album, “REBEL,” due Apr. 19, 2024, the songstress is turning up the heat on her country leanings simultaneously releasing a single to Christian radio (“Strong”) and country radio (“Rain in the Rearview”). Additionally, she’s out on her first country tour, opening for country hitmaker Scotty McCreery through the spring.

The two-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner has already graced the iconic circle at the Grand Ole Opry multiple times, and last summer she performed at CMA Fest, the ultimate multi-day festival experience for country music lovers. She also performed alongside singer/songwriter Jordan Davis at the 2023 ACM Honors, which aired live on FOX. Most recently, she was announced as a member of the coveted 2024 CMT Next Women of Country class. Moreover, CMT just exclusively premiered Wilson’s cinematic music video for “Rain in the Rearview” across their music channels, as well as on their iconic billboards in Times Square.

The Bluegrass State native has been hard at work on her forthcoming LP for the past 15 months, reuniting with “My Jesus” co-writers Matthew West and Jeff Pardo for the vast majority of the record. With both a major Christian label and a major country label at the helm of her new project, the chart-topping singer is poised to take her Jesus to country music fans in a big way this year.

Wilson, however, has no plans to forsake her Christian roots. Country music feels like a natural next step for the GRAMMY® nominated artist as opportunities arise to share the message behind her faith-driven songs with a broader audience.

“I love God and that’s my everything,” she says, “but I love country music, too, and I can have a beautiful mix of both.”

Describing what fans can expect on “REBEL,” she adds, “It’s the heart of Christian music, the sound of country…and the hope of Jesus. I hope it all points back to Him.”
