New Song Feature: "Miracle Child" Brandon Lake

The story Brandon Lake shares through song on “Miracle Child” is as much his mother’s as it is his own. His mom experienced recurring pregnancy loss before giving birth to Lake and his two siblings. Throughout every season of disappointment, however, his mother held steadfast to her faith and the promise she believed God had given her regarding children. She knew her greatest calling in life would be motherhood, even if she didn’t have any children yet.

Lake confidently declares he is a “Miracle Child” because of his mother’s faith across the first verse of his latest radio single, the follow-up to his chart-topping smash, “Praise You Anywhere.” The second verse of “Miracle Child” affirms his identity in Christ as a child of God, and in turn, reminds listeners that we are all miracle children as adopted sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.

After Lake debuted “Miracle Child” on his third studio album, “Coat of Many Colors,” countless stories began pouring in from fans as they vulnerably shared their own experiences with pregnancy loss, infertility and adoption. Several of those real-life stories are even a part of the official music video for “Miracle Child.”

Lake recently announced 12 additional cities for his wildly popular “Tear Off The Roof Tour,” which he’s slated to reprise this fall following another run of dates on the “Summer Worship Nights” tour with best bud Phil Wickham.

Additionally, the singer/songwriter co-hosted the 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards with Sadie Robertson Huff. Now a five-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner, Lake led this year’s artist nominations with four nods and took home awards for Male Artist of the Year and Worship Song of the Year for "Praise You Anywhere."
