Ben Fuller "Who I Am"

Newcomer Ben Fuller gives first-time listeners a personal glimpse into the man behind the music on his introductory single, “Who I Am.” Serving as the title-cut of his eight-song debut released earlier this year, “Who I Am” rises and falls on a chanted lyric of the utmost importance:

I’m a child of the Most High God, and the Most High God’s for me.

It’s a life-altering statement meant to be shouted at the top of your lungs, and a truth Fuller learned firsthand after some friends invited him to a church in Franklin, Tenn. After experiencing the love and forgiveness of God for the first time, he was forever changed following years of drug and alcohol abuse, a suicide attempt and the heartbreaking loss of a friend to a heroin addiction. Although he initially moved to Nashville to make country music, the Vermont native quickly discovered his ultimate calling — to craft songs that speak of the hope he’s found in Christ.

Thus, the anthemic “Who I Am” is Fuller’s story, serving as a constant reminder of his newfound identity. His rugged, grit-filled vocal is unearthed with every soaring note. “The song came to me because I asked God for a reminder of who He made me to be. ‘Who I Am’ is a declaration I needed to shout from the highest peaks about how He’s changing my life,” Fuller offers of the track he penned with the help of David Spencer and Krystal Polychronis. “I want to share the love of God that I’ve come to know. I want to be like Jesus to everyone I meet, and I want to encourage others to never be ashamed to tell their story, no matter what.”

The bold new artist is sharing his story on the road alongside labelmate Zach Williams through the end of the year on Williams’ fall tour and across all of the multi-GRAMMY® winner’s Christmas dates.
