Brandon Lake was named Artist of the Year at the 13th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, marking his second consecutive win in the esteemed bracket. Comedian John Crist and Song of the Year contender Colton Dixon presented the trophy to Lake, who took the podium to accept the honor with his wife, Brittany, by his side.
“I would say this is a dream come true, but I didn’t even know how to dream for this,” the longtime worship leader remarked.
Commending performances earlier in the evening from Pat Barrett, Terrian (“That was one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life!”) and Ben Fuller, Lake said, “There is a reason why the secular space is looking at ours, and they’re taking note. God is raising up new Davids… I’m just so grateful to be in the room, because my faith has just been heightened being here.
“God is doing something really beautiful in our nation,” he continued, encouraging those in the audience. “The darker that it gets, the brighter your light is going to shine… The world needs you; they need your story.”
At the beginning of May, the South Carolina-based musician wrapped his massive “King Of Hearts” arena tour, which encompassed 50 shows nationwide. While on the road, Lake has been steadily releasing a string of high-profile collaborations with mainstream acts, including recent recordings with Nick Jonas, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman and Cody Johnson, as well as Christian hip-hop artist Skema Boy. He’s already teasing an upcoming duet with Dan + Shay, who’s slated to appear alongside Lake when he leads Cowboy Church on Sunday morning of CMA Fest in Nashville on June 7.
Lake’s Artist of the Year victory brings his K-LOVE Fan Awards tally to 11, making him the second-most awarded artist in K-LOVE Fan Awards history behind for KING + COUNTRY.
Hosted by Lauren Daigle and Sadie Robertson Huff, the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards honored the year’s biggest faith-based artists, songs, films, television series, books, podcasts and more as fans voted for their favorites across 11 categories. With winners publicly revealed during an exclusive broadcast on May 29 via Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the show is now available to watch on demand on TBN+ with an encore network presentation airing June 5.
