The eight contenders for 2024’s Artist of the Year include two favorite females, a pair of today’s biggest names in worship music, a prolific singer/songwriter, a set of well-known Australian brothers, a beloved group who’s been around for two decades and another seasoned act whose live show hits deep. Judging by the impressive names below that made the final cut, it will be difficult for fans to narrow down their pick for this year’s Artist of the Year winner. But, ultimately, only one will walk away with the golden ‘K.’
Hosted by Brandon Lake and Sadie Robertson Huff, the 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards will air exclusively on TBN Friday, May 31, 2024, at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET.

Anne Wilson
Anne Wilson earns her first Artist of the Year nomination on the strength of her sophomore effort, “REBEL,” and its lead single, “Strong,” which is also up for Song of the Year. The Kentucky native, who won her first pair of K-LOVE Fan Awards in 2022, might be expanding her fanbase into country this year, but Christian music fans remain loyal to Wilson as she notches a total of three nominations for 2024, including a third consecutive nod for Female Artist of the Year.
Brandon Lake
As the most nominated artist for 2024, Brandon Lake will once again vie for Artist of the Year. While he walked away with a trio of trophies in 2023, he lost the coveted Artist of the Year accolade to perennial favorites for KING + COUNTRY. Since last year’s awards ceremony, Lake has released his third full-length studio project, “Coat of Many Colors,” and sold out arenas nationwide, proving he’s a definitive headliner. The “Praise You Anywhere” singer will co-host the show for the first time this year alongside speaker, author and podcaster Sadie Robertson Huff.
Casting Crowns
Two-time K-LOVE Fan Award-winning band Casting Crowns has been busy commemorating their 20th anniversary in music with a special tour and album full of fresh versions of their classic songs reimagined by an A-list roster of artist friends. The celebrated act — also up for Group of the Year — returns to the Artist of the Year category as their single, “All Because of Mercy,” ascends at radio. Even with two decades in the rearview, the veteran collective remains a fan favorite.
for KING + COUNTRY
Reigning Artist of the Year winners for KING + COUNTRY are frontrunners in this bracket. The duo remains the most awarded act in K-LOVE Fan Awards history, securing their 17th golden ‘K’ in 2023. With “Unsung Hero” propelling their family’s story into the national spotlight, the success of their recent movie and accompanying soundtrack might just be enough to earn brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone yet another trophy. Only the fans can determine the outcome.
Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle’s “Thank God I Do” was a relatively new single at the time of last year’s awards ceremony, and the vocalist performed a stunning rendition of the gratitude-inducing ballad on the K-LOVE Fan Awards stage. In addition, she also picked up a Female Artist of the Year win in 2023, marking her 9th K-LOVE Fan Award. Since then, the decorated songstress has released a second chapter to her massive self-titled LP and launched a critically acclaimed arena tour that cements the Louisiana native as not only a revered vocalist, but also a true entertainer worthy of Artist of the Year honors.
Matthew West
Once again, Matthew West finds himself in good company as a nominee for Artist of the Year. The two-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner is primed for a three-peat if he wins all of his categories. The respected singer/songwriter is also a contender for Male Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for his current anthemic hit, “Don’t Stop Praying.” Incidentally, he’s also a co-writer on Anne Wilson’s “Strong,” another contender for Song of the Year.
Phil Wickham
Although he’s only won one K-LOVE Fan Award to date, Phil Wickham continues to secure the No. 1 spot in the hearts of countless K-LOVE listeners. Since winning Book Impact for his devotional, “On Our Knees,” in 2023, the critically acclaimed worship leader embarked on the massive “Summer Worship Nights” tour with Brandon Lake and unveiled his brand new “I Believe” album, which he stripped down for a “Hometown Version” that quietly dropped this spring.
TobyMac
Making regular appearances in this category since he first won Artist of the Year in 2013, TobyMac is a three-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner. In addition to also being recognized in this year’s Male Artist of the Year bracket, the hitmaker is nominated for Song of the Year thanks to the success of his most recent No. 1, “Faithfully.”
