Espionage thriller “Bonhoeffer” follows the story of well-known Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer — played by German actor Jonas Dassler — as he gets swept up in a deadly plot to assassinate Hitler. Risking his very life, the theologian must choose between playing it safe or saving millions of Jews from geocode. Oscillating between preaching peace and plotting murder, Bonhoeffer embarks on a dangerous mission that could cost him everything, but could also, simultaneously, change the course of history.

Historical drama “Cabrini” sheds light on real-life heroine Francesca Cabrini. Set in 1800s New York City, the movie follows Cabrini, an Italian immigrant, as she discovers a land of promise and opportunity littered with disease, crime and poverty. The Catholic missionary boldly attempts to convince those in power to provide housing and healthcare for society’s most vulnerable. Inspiring an entire community with her compassion, Cabrini becomes instrumental in caring for the orphans and the sick, alike, following the example of Jesus.

Based on the bestselling novel by beloved Christian author Karen Kingsbury, “Someone Like You” chronicles the story of a young architect named Dawson Gage (Jake Allyn) who embarks on an emotional quest to track down the secret twin sister of his best friend and unrequited love, London Quinn (Sarah Fisher), who recently passed away as a result of a tragic accident. As Dawson sets out in search of redemption and healing, following London’s death, he never expects to find new love along the way.

“Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” proves the impossible really is possible. The inspirational film unfurls the story of Reverend Martin and his wife, Donna, as they rally members of their rural East Texas church to engage with the foster care system. Together, the small community adopts 77 children, offering them more love and opportunity than they could have ever dreamed. Illuminating the growing foster care crisis in our country, “Sound of Hope” fights for the often overlooked kids in need of a place to belong.

Directed by Dallas Jenkins (“The Chosen”), “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” became 2024’s surprise holiday hit. Based on the acclaimed book by Barbara Robinson, the feel-good family flick follows the Herdman siblings — the world’s worst kids — as they hijack the church’s annual Nativity play only to inadvertently teach the community about the real reason for the season. Simultaneously true-to-life, hilarious and heartwarming, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” boasts an all-star cast that includes Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright and Lauren Graham.

“The Chosen” kicked off its highly anticipated fifth season with a limited-run theatrical release that premiered in conjunction with Easter. The current season depicts the events of Holy Week, leading up to Jesus’ (Jonathan Roumie) eventual crucifixion with this batch of episodes culminating in an unforgettable reenactment of The Last Supper. Already a three-time K-LOVE Fan Award recipient, “The Chosen” is set to debut the first two episodes of its fifth season on Prime Video beginning June 15.

As a father’s faith expands, his son’s belief in what’s possible also increases, forging a fierce bond between them and fueling an inspirational example of courage in the face of insurmountable odds. Based on a true story, the film stars Zachary Levi, Meghann Fahy, Patricia Heaton and Jacob Laval as “The Unbreakable Boy.”

The family behind two of Christian music’s biggest artists — Rebecca St. James and for KING + COUNTRY — gets the spotlight on “Unsung Hero.” The movie details the Smallbones’ remarkable move from Australia to America with little more than the clothes on their back and their unwavering faith in God. When nothing goes as planned, their community shows up in miraculous ways to help the family in need, beating the odds and paving the way for a musical dynasty that began on the other side of the globe.

Serving as a spin-off to 2017’s “Wonder,” “White Bird” is a whimsical coming-of-age period drama that finds a troubled teen transformed by the stories of his grandmother as she shares how she tried to escape war-torn France during WWII as the Nazi regime took over her town. As “White Bird” protagonist Julian Albans — played by Bryce Gheisar — learns of his grandmother’s incredible heroism, he’s inspired to bravely choose kindness, compassion and empathy in his own modern-day circumstances.
