Emerson Day’s “Get Behind Me” was named Breakout Single of the Year at the 13th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards. Twinning in matching pink dresses, Jenn Johnson and Tasha Layton presented the award, joking that they often get mistaken for one another because they look so much alike.

Upon the announcement, the show cut to a video message from Day, who was unable to attend due to the birth of her first child. Holding her newborn in her arms, the first-time mom addressed the audience from her hospital room.

“Thank you so much to Christian radio, to K-LOVE, to the fans that voted. Thank you so much to my team and to my husband, who has been just a rockstar through this entire journey; but more than anyone, I want to give all the glory to God,” Day said. “I am just so incredibly moved by how God has used this song to impact so many people, and all the glory goes to Him.”

Day, who was pursuing a career in federal law enforcement before following a call to Christian music full-time, publicly announced her pregnancy at the beginning of April, revealing that she and her husband had been keeping a sweet secret.

Her debut radio single, “Get Behind Me,” quickly became a fan favorite with its searing blend of fearless rock and rebellious country. Further fueling the song’s momentum, the Maryland native released a collaborative version, adding four-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner Zach Williams to the incendiary track.

Fresh off Winter Jam 2026, the first-time K-LOVE Fan Awards nominee was recognized in three different categories this year. In addition to Breakout Single of the Year, Day also received nods for Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Hosted by Lauren Daigle and Sadie Robertson Huff, the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards honored the year’s biggest faith-based artists, songs, films, television series, books, podcasts and more as fans voted for their favorites across 11 categories. With winners publicly revealed during an exclusive broadcast on May 29 via Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the show is now available to watch on-demand on TBN+ with an encore network presentation airing June 5.
