The fans have spoken. “The Chosen” is once again their pick for the Film Impact category. The Season 5 theatrical release was announced as the winner at the 12th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, marking the fourth time “The Chosen” has earned this honor.
This year’s bracket was especially competitive with a total of 10 nominees, including box office heavyweights like “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” “The Unbreakable Boy” and “Unsung Hero.”
Four of Christian music’s leading ladies — Terrian, Tasha Layton, Katy Nichole and Blanca — joined forces to present the award for Film Impact.
“I want to tell you why this is the best awards show,” co-creator of “The Chosen,” Dallas Jenkins, offered during his acceptance speech, “because it’s about you, the fans.”
Jenkins went on to say that just two mornings ago, the cast and crew were up at 3 a.m., hard at work, shooting in Utah and filming what he dubbed the “hardest season.” “We’re very imperfect people trying to capture a perfect God,” he continued.
Cast members Jonathan Roumie (Jesus), Noah James (Andrew) and Paras Patel (Matthew) were all in attendance at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards.
“The Chosen” kicked off its highly anticipated fifth season with a limited-run theatrical release that premiered in conjunction with Easter. The upcoming installment depicts the events of Holy Week, leading up to Jesus’ eventual crucifixion, complete with an unforgettable reenactment of The Last Supper. The wildly popular biblical drama is set to debut the first two episodes of its fifth season on Prime Video beginning June 15.
Earlier this year, “The Chosen” announced its next buzzworthy season in an innovative fashion by taking over billboards in Times Square, which displayed iconic images of the cast captured by globally renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.
