Anne Wilson kicks up some dust on freshly minted original “Who I Am To You,” which premiered as a K-LOVE First. The country-infused anthem finds the Kentucky native calling out the devil for who he is: a liar.

Yet, not even a chart-topping superstar like Wilson is immune to falling for the lies of the enemy. Revealing she’s been wrestling with feelings of doubt and unworthiness, Wilson sets the record straight on the haunting “Who I Am To You”: Jesus is the only One who can tell her who she truly is.

“I’ve believed a lot of lies about who I am and maybe you have, too. But our identity isn’t defined by the labels the world puts on us. It’s defined by what God says is true about us,” Wilson says. “This new song is a reminder to trade the lies and insecurities for the truth of who God created us to be. I hope it reminds you who you really are in Christ and gives you the courage to walk confidently in that truth.”

Wilson briefly shared a glimpse into her recent struggles with identity during her speech at the K-LOVE Fan Awards in May as she took the podium to accept the Book Impact trophy for her devotional, “Hey Girl.” Her newest title, “Rebel,” released in June.

Continuing to seamlessly blend genres, the “God Story” singer’s latest collaborations include guest turns from country artists Cole Swindell and Drew Baldridge. Both pairings can be found on Wilson’s newly expanded version of her third studio effort, “Stars.”

“Who I Am To You” offers her first taste of new music since Wilson dropped “Stars (Blue Hour Deluxe).” She returns to the road Sept. 10 for a 25-date extension of her popular “Stars Tour.” Peter Burton and Aodhán King are slated to provide direct support.
