“I wrote ‘I Believe You’ about a season where I was walking through depression, and hope felt far away. This song is my honest cry of faith in the middle of the struggle. In the middle of that silence, God’s whisper was still there. I had to make a choice to believe what He says, even when I couldn’t see it. If you’re in that place, too, I pray these words remind you that He sees you. He’s with you, and you’re not alone,” she says. “‘I Believe You’ is a reminder that we don’t have to have it all together to keep trusting Him. Sometimes faith is simply saying, ‘God, I still believe You.’”
Strings, piano and a choir accompany Woods as she pledges to exercise her faith, even if she doesn’t know how the story will end. Dressed in a black, sparkly, full-length gown, the emerging artist filmed a stunning music video for the song at The Fisher Center in Nashville.
