
for KING & COUNTRY took home an unprecedented three awards at the 2015 K-LOVE Fan Awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year trophy. The duo appeared alongside other fan favorites like MercyMe, Crowder, Francesca Battistelli, Chris Tomlin, Hawk Nelson, Lauren Daigle, and many more, throughout nearly four hours of incredible performances and exciting winner announcements at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. Fan votes across 11 categories helped build homes in Haiti in partnership with the Hands & Feet Project.
Hosted by Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Kirk Cameron, the 3rd annual K-LOVE Fan Awards served as the grand finale to a weekend filled with events. The Ultimate Fan Experience began with a concert headlined by TobyMac, Newsboys, Matthew West, Matt Maher and Sidewalk Prophets. Fans ran alongside celebrities in a 5K for Hands & Feet bright and early Saturday morning. Meanwhile, others attended a special breakfast benefiting “Sports Spectrum” magazine, which honored the family of Cody Zeller. That evening featured an intimate Songwriters Showcase, hosted by Steven Curtis Chapman. Sunday Morning Worship was led by Third Day and Kari Jobe. In between special concerts and events, attendees were treated to the popular K-LOVE Fan Zone, which boasted a variety of fan-focused activities from celebrity basketball games and autograph sessions to exclusive performances.

Artist of the Year: for KING & COUNTRY
for KING & COUNTRY earned their first Artist of the Year honor in 2015 on the strength of “Fix My Eyes,” the massive lead single from their sophomore album, “RUN WILD. LIVE FREE. LOVE STRONG.” The duo treated K-LOVE fans to a dynamic version of the title-cut during the 3rd annual K-LOVE Fan Awards live from the Grand Ole Opry House stage.

Male Artist of the Year: Chris Tomlin
Chris Tomlin Chris Tomlin went three for three in 2015 notching his third consecutive Male Artist of the Year win. That same year, he also vied for Artist of the Year and Worship Song of the Year for “Jesus Loves Me.” Meanwhile, he performed his popular Easter original, “At The Cross (Love Ran Red).”

Female Artist of the Year: Francesca Battistelli
Francesca Battistelli walked away with the ‘K’ for Female Artist of the Year in 2015. At the time, “He Knows My Name” — found on her third studio effort, “If We’re Honest” — was in heavy rotation on K-LOVE stations across the country. Reminding listeners that we’re all “famous in our Father’s eyes,” the Gold-certified single was also up for Song of the Year.

Group/Duo of the Year: for KING & COUNTRY
The 3rd annual K-LOVE Fan Awards proved to be a winning year for for KING & COUNTRY. The brotherly duo not only took home Artist of the Year honors, but fans also named them Group/Duo of the Year for the first (but surely not the last) time. Moreover, they took home a third trophy for Best Live Show. With “Shoulders” spinning at radio, Joel and Luke also won their first pair of GRAMMYs® earlier that year.

Song of the Year: “We Believe,” Newsboys
While they premiered “We Believe” at the K-LOVE Fan Awards in 2014, the song earned Newsboys their second K-LOVE Fan Awards trophy in 2015 when their strong declaration of faith was named Song of the Year. The selection served as the closing track from 2013’s “Restart” and the theme song for 2015’s feature film, “Do You Believe?”

Worship Song of the Year: “How Can It Be,” Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle officially entered the conversation in 2015. She was only nominated in one category — Worship Song of the Year — which she won for “How Can It Be.” The now eight-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner delivered the soaring anthem that evening, marking the first of many memorable wins and performances to come for the talented songstress.

Sports Impact: Benjamin Watson
Benjamin Watson attracted media attention for his openly Christian stance on both the Ferguson and Baltimore conflicts. Film/Television Impact: “A.D. The Bible Continues”
“A.D. The Bible Continues” began where “The Bible” left off, airing Sunday nights on NBC. The 12-week miniseries from executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett earned the majority of fans’ votes in 2015 in the category of Film/Television Impact. The popular television series accrued record viewership throughout its three-month run, thanks to its mix of high-level production and thoughtful visual storytelling.

Book Impact: “The Best Yes,” Lysa TerKeurst
“New York Times” bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst took home the award for Book Impact in 2015 for “The Best Yes.” In her book, the president of Proverbs 31 Ministries helped readers learn how to reserve their “best yes” for the things that add purpose, meaning and beauty to their lives. In addition to her win, alongside fellow author Jan Harrison, TerKeurst also presented the award for Female Artist of the Year.
