No stranger to collaborating, Elevation Worship and Brandon Lake reunite for “I Know A Name.” The anthemic track echoes the power found in calling out to a God, who has the power to heal, break chains and set people free.
While the song starts as an acoustic-grounded mid-tempo selection, it gradually ascends to a bright refrain that declares, “Dead things come alive in the name of Jesus.” Written by Lake, Steven Furtick, Hank Bentley and Jacob Sooter, “I Know A Name” leans on the truth found in Philippians 2:9-10, which says, “Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”

“When I recognize my own insufficiency, I make room for the One who is all-sufficient to step in,” says Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown, who shares lead vocals with Lake on the fresh original. “I don’t have enough wisdom, don’t know how to get over this anxiety, don’t know if I’ve got enough strength to keep fighting, but I know the One who does. His name is Jesus, and He holds all authority in heaven and on earth.”
“We’re believing this song is going to give you faith to believe that dead things are going to come alive in 2025,” Lake adds. “We believe this is a song for your house, for your church, for your soul, for your spirit.”
“I Know A Name” builds on the ongoing partnership and friendship between the reigning K-LOVE Fan Awards Group of the Year and the reigning Male Artist of the Year, who have previously recorded massive hits together, including “Praise,” “Graves Into Gardens” and “Lion,” among others.

Brown and Lake are both part of newly minted Christian music supergroup Sons Of Sunday, which also features Furtick, Chandler Moore, Pat Barrett and Leeland Mooring. The collective will release their buzzy self-titled debut May 16. Meanwhile, in the midst of teasing new music, Elevation Worship is set to reprise their wildly popular “Elevation Nights” tour this fall with eight new dates taking the outfit to major markets in Minnesota, Georgia, Florida and beyond. As for Lake, the South Carolina native will launch his massive “King of Hearts” arena outing in early October. The trek will support his “King of Hearts” album — due June 13, 2025 — which boasts his unlikely crossover hit, “Hard Fought Hallelujah (feat. Jelly Roll).”
