Since 2018’s “Own It,” chart-topping songstress Francesca Battistelli has virtually been off the musical radar. Now, for the first time in eight years, the beloved singer-songwriter returns with a new original recording courtesy of soaring worship anthem “He Will.”

The mother of seven crafted the faith-elevating track with Molly Reed and Jeff Pardo. During the writing session, Battistelli voiced her desire to begin actively making music again alongside her uncertainty with what that would look like, given her large family and her significant responsibilities at home. She remembers telling Reed and Pardo, “I don’t know how He’ll do it, but I know He will.” That sentiment became the starting point for the song, which declares an unwavering belief in God despite present circumstances.
“In every season, God has proven Himself faithful. I pray this song reminds you that no matter what you’re walking through today, He is still who He says He is, and He will never leave you,” Battistelli shares. “If you’re in a circumstance that feels impossible, I hope you’re reminded today that God is still working, even when you can’t yet see how. He has never stopped being faithful, and He won’t start now.”

Across four studio albums, beginning with her acclaimed debut, “My Paper Heart,” Battistelli has propelled numerous singles to No. 1, performed around the world and shared the stage with everyone from TobyMac and Matthew West to Brandon Heath and Big Daddy Weave. The two-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner is known for hits like “Free To Be Me,” “He Knows My Name,” “Write Your Story,” “The Breakup Song” and “Holy Spirit,” for which she won a GRAMMY® in 2016.
She intentionally stepped out of the spotlight for a season to focus on her growing family. In the process, she and her husband, Matt, purchased a homestead right outside of Nashville, where they continue to cultivate their land and homeschool their children.
“He Will” offers the first taste of what is expected to be a stream of new songs leading up to Battistelli’s highly anticipated fifth studio effort.
