Forrest Frank returns with yet another summertime bop, this time, courtesy of “OKAY.” The Texas native captures a Polaroid straight out of real life as he ponders a mix of mounting bills, children begging for his attention, work calls and the constant pull of doom scrolling across a bouncy melody. Despite daily stressors that listeners will find all too relatable, Frank eventually lands on the truth that everything will be A-OK, simply because he trusts there is a God who has good plans for us. Ultimately, the father of two chooses to set aside distractions in favor of playing with his kids; but that doesn’t mean he isn’t immune to the struggle of balancing endless notifications, responsibilities and commitments.

Somewhere in the midst of the ordinary mess, he offers a “new song” that breaks through the incessant noise — a perspective-shifting offering of gratitude — as he sings, “Lord, I’m just grateful that I got to wake up today. You take my worries and hurries and fade ’em to gray. You have good plans for me, that’s what You say. That’s how I know everything is gonna be okay.”

The glass-half-full selection is spinning at radio just as his single, “Jesus Is Alive,” is simultaneously having a viral moment after an open-verse challenge propelled it to the top of Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart and spawned an entire album of winning submissions that showcases versions with 19 different artists, most of whom are unsigned.

No stranger to collaborations, the lightning-in-a-bottle hitmaker recently partnered with fellow singer-songwriter Noah Hayden to form Party Wave. The duo dropped their full-length debut, “Dawn Patrol” — a collection of sun-soaked, lo-fi surf rock — in April.

The cross-genre collaborations and viral moments that have built Frank’s relatively short career thus far unite to form his setlist for his massive “Jesus Generation Tour,” which is breaking attendance records in sold-out arenas and stadiums across the country this summer. Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury and The Figs are supporting the trending talent across the 29-city trek that continues into August.
